Ajax striker Luis Suarez has ruled out a move to Premier League leaders Chelsea in the January transfer window and insisted he is staying in Holland.
The 22-year-old ace, who is World Cup bound with Uruguay is wanted throughout Europe after impressing under Martin Jol's guidance at Ajax.
A number of high-profile club's have monitored his progress, and were rumoured to be readying bids to try and lure the former Nacional goal machine away from Amsterdam.
Suarez has netted prolifically for the Dutch giants, and his league record of 56 goals in 80 appearances is pretty special.
However, with his focus firmly on the World Cup, Suarez has insisted that he won't be leaving Ajax in January. His concern is first team football, and that is something he is guaranteed to have under Martin Jol. Barring injuries, this should ensure his inclusion in Uruguay's World Cup squad, and so he will remain with his current employers until at least this summer.
“I don’t know where the Chelsea rumours originated from. I’ve told everyone here at Ajax that I want to stay, " he told Eredivisie live.
“I want to stay because I start every game, and thus I’ll go to the World Cup. I’ll definitely be here until June.”
