Chelsea and Manchester City are the latest clubs to join the race to capture the signature of Brazilian starlet Neymar from current club Santos.
Dubbed the 'new Robinho', Neymar, 17, has been a revelation since establishing himself in the Santos first-team this seaom and has already shown his goalscoring nous by netting 14 times in 39 appearances for his boyhood club.
His performances have unsurprisingly attracted the attention of Manchester United and Arsenal, while there were reports that Real Madrid were trying to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Neymar's agent, Wagner Ribeiro.
Now it appears big-spending duo Chelsea and Manchester City have thrown their hat into the ring in the chase for the Brazilian's signature, although Santos have slapped a £20million price tag on the talented teenager.
Neymar himself has reiterated his desire to stay with the Peixe, for now at least, as opposed to jettisoning off to Europe.
"I only know what is being said in the press, nobody has spoken with me about a possible transfer, and for saying the truth, it's not in mind the idea of leaving Santos," he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"I haven't been thinking of a move to Europe.
"I really don't know what is happening and why it said that many European teams are interested in me because here in Brazil nobody has approached me and even the club hasn't told me anything.
"Personally the only thing that I am thinking about is in giving my best to Santos and working very hard for next season as I would like to have a better season," he added.
