Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Sao Paulo over a deal to bring Brazilian boy wonder Lucas Piazon, a player dubbed the 'new Kaka', to Stamford Bridge.
According to The Daily Mirror, Chelsea's top talent spotter Piet de Visser watched
attacking midfielder Piazon hit a hat-trick whilst staring for
Brazil in their 4-1 demolition of Bolivia during the on-going South
American Under 15 Championship.
Piazon has hit eight goals in four group matches for the Seleção in
the competition, and also attracted attention from Manchester United
and Arsenal for his displays in during the recent Nike Youth Cup in
Manchester.
Chelsea however appear to be leading the race for the teenager, who does bear an uncanny resemblance to Real Madrid star
Kaka, and hope to fly him over to England in the coming weeks to put
pen-to-paper.
Carlo Ancelotti is keen to tie up a deal for the Brazilian ace, while the club's transfer ban has been temporarily lifted, and has instructed the club to move quickly in order to head off interest from his title rivals.
Meanwhile, another player linked with a move to Chelsea is Anderlecht striking sensation and Belgian youth international Romelu Lukaku.
The 16-year-old has broken into the Les Mauves et Blancs first-team this season, scoring six goals in 14 games for the Belgian giants, despite his tender years.
Lukaku was prolific at youth level, scoring an astonishing 68 goals in 68 matches with FC Brussels and 121 goals in 88 matches with Anderlecht.
At 15, the forward managed to score 26 goals in 17 matches despite playing against players four years his senior!
The 6ft 4in attacker has been linked with a move to Chelsea in January, however the club's general manager Herman van Holsbeeck has insisted the player is not for sale.
"Ever since he started to play, they've been calling for him. But I immediately hang up the phone then. It's good that we managed to keep such a player.
"Together with him and his family we made some agreements concerning the future. I think it's better for him to stay here for a while.
"Meanwhile, some teams have asked to buy him, but let him play with us for a while. We won't do that."
