Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident his side can cope without striker Didier Drogba after the Ivorian was injured in the Blues 3-0 derby win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Drogba has been at his devastating best so far this season with five goals in six games and scored again against Spurs at Stamford Bridge before being forced off with a suspected thigh injury.
"We have played without Didier before," Ancelotti told BBC Sport.
"I think we can play well without Didier.
"Against Porto we won without him and we have Nicolas Anelka, Salomon Kalou, Daniel Sturridge and Fabio Borini."
The 31-year-old will be assessed by the club's medical staff over the next few days with former Rossoneri boss Ancelotti hoping the injury is not as bad as first thought.
"We hope tomorrow we will have a precise diagnosis of the situation. It is a calf injury but he felt that he had cramp. If it is cramp, it is good for us."
Chelsea maintained their perfect start to the season after blowing Harry Redknapp's side away with goals from Drogba, Ashley Cole and Michael Ballack.
The experienced Italian has made an impressive start at his new club, and it's even more impressive given the departure of chief executive Peter Kenyon, and the shock transfer embargo that has been imposed on the club by FIFA.
The 50-year-old will be hopeful that, if Drogba is indeed injured, his troops will be able to cope without the power and pace that has become so crucial to the success at Stamford Bridge.
