Burnley boss Owen Coyle has secured his third signing of the summer after Newcastle United defender David Edgar completed his move to Turf Moor.
The Canadian international has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Premier League new boys after seeing out his contract at St James' Park and follows Tyrone Mears and Steven Fletcher into the Lancashire club.
However, the Magpies will be entitled to a compensation fee for the versatile ace, who made just 23 appearances for the club after making his debut in the Boxing Day clash against
Bolton Wanderers in 2006, as he is under the age of 24.
More arrivals are expected at Turf Moor in the coming weeks as Coyle looks to strengthen all departments of his squad ahead of the club's return to the top-flight of English football for the first time in 33-years.
