Taylor insists there is no crisis at Bolton

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Matt Taylor insists there is no crisis at the club following their 2-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.

The result, which saw the Trotters drop to 19th in the Premier League table having won only three of their first 14 games, has seen the pressure increase on under-fire boss Gary Megson.

The former West Brom manager was never a popoular appointment at the Reebok Stadium and was subjected to abuse by the travelling support at the weekend, as calls for his head grown louder by the week.

But Taylor, who was brought to the club by Megson in January 2008, has called on his team-mates to stick together and prove in their upcoming games that there are no problems within the camp.

"I can't stress enough there isn't a feel of crisis at the club or in the dressing room,"
Taylor is quoted as saying by skysports.com

"We're disappointed but we have to kick on and win the next game. What is important is the team and making sure everyone in that dressing room sticks together, and we will do that.

"There are no bad eggs at this club. It's not for me to comment on supporters' opinions, that's their prerogative.

"We've got two very important games in the next 10 days and if we do well then people will be asking 'what's the problem?'"

However, should Bolton fail to pick up anything from home clashes against Manchester City on Saturday and then West Ham a week Tuesday then Megson may just be handed his P45!
