Emana set for Bolton switch?

Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson is reportedly closing in on a deal to bring Real Betis midfielder Achille Emana to the Reebok Stadium.

Emana, 27, is widely expected to quit the Andalusian outfit following their relegation from the Primera Liga on the final day of last season.

The Cameroon international enjoyed an impressive debut season at the Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, scoring 11 goals from midfield and creating seven more, following his switch from Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse.

And now it appears the Indomitable Lions ace is set for a switch to the Premier League, with talks between Betis and Bolton over a £7million deal progressing at pace.

"Everyone knows I love Seville but it is important to play in the top, rather than second division in any league,"
he told skysports.com.

"A decision will be taken very soon to satisfy all parties."

Meanwhile, Trotters boss Gary Megson has refused to rule out a £2.5million move for Leeds United's prolific hitman Jermaine Beckford.

"It's wrong of me to say no, or yes, because it's an agenda that I haven't created,"
he told the Bolton News.

"I've never told anyone the name of the player that we are trying to bring in - I don't do that."
