The agent of Red Bull Salzburg striker Marc Janko has denied reports suggesting his client will join Birmingham City in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old Austria international has long been mooted as a target for Blues boss Alex McLeish, and a story in Wednesday's Daily Mirror had suggested a £6million bid was being readied.
However, the players representative, Georg Stanggassinger, has strenuously denied that there has been any contact between Birmingham and either himself or the player.
"I have heard and read something about interest from Birmingham in Marc, but I haven't had any contract with anyone from Birmingham," Stanggassinger told skysports.com.
"He has a contract until 2013 and Red Bull do not want to lose him.
"It is known English clubs have tried to sign him in the past and yes Marc would like to play in the Premier League in the future.
"But he won't move in the winter transfer window 100 per cent.
"It is not possible [to move in January], but maybe in the summer or in a year he could move."
McLeish, who will apparently be given a £40million transfer war chest by new owner Carson Yeung in the New Year, has also been linked with moves for Serbian strike force Nikola Zigic and Milan Jovanovic.
Zigic, 27, is surplus to requirements with Valencia and could be available for around £6million, while his compatriot, Jovanovic, 28, is out of contract with Standard Liege at the end of the current campaign and could be available for a cut-price fee.
