Houllier set for Birmingham?

As new Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung settles in to life at St Andrews it seems that he is intent on installing his own man at the helm, and has already approached former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier to oust Alex McLeish.
The news is sure to be devastating to Scotsman McCleish, who was initially promised a whopping transfer kitty of £40million in January 2010.
But, if reports emerging today are correct, then he won't be touching a penny of that, and instead it will be the ex-Lyon manager Gerard Houllier who will be getting his mits on the war chest.
It might not be curtains immediately for the former Rangers supremo, as Houllier may arrive as an advisor to begin with, but one thing will be made clear to the tough-talking Scot - either improve dramatically, or the Frenchman will be sliding into the hot seat.
McLeish guided The Blues to a much needed victory over Steve Bruce's Sunderland over the weekend, with compatriot James McFadden grabbing the crucial winning goal to make the scoreline 2-1.
But Yeung is thought to have met with Houllier already, and is very keen to get the experienced gaffer on board at the club sooner rather than later.
Houllier, who suffered ill-health while in charge at Liverpool, recovered to build an exciting Lyon side that he led to two French titles but is without a job since leaving the club two years ago.
He is understood to want to return to football as soon as possible and will be tempted by Yeung's offer.

I signed up with these guys - http://www.liveustv.com
Best games are shown on Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta - got fed up with the lack of decent quality P2P streams that were 'here today and gone tomorrow'. I can also watch the Saturday afternoon Premier League games not shown in the UK. I have a SlingCatcher, so I can watch the stream on my 37"LCD TV at a very watchable resolution. Keeps the wife and son quiet too, she gets all her Lost and Desperate Housewives long before they are shown here and he gets all his MLB and NFL games. Saves me forking out for an ESPN/NASN subscription!
