John Carew's agent has dismissed reports linking the Aston Villa striker with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the January transfer window.
Reports in the English press on Tuesday had linked the Norwegian forward with a £5million New Year switch to the Sarı Kanaryalar.
The 30-year-old has been a regular for Martin O'Neill's side this season, keeping England striker Emile Heskey out of the side for large parts of the campaign, and it appears he will be staying at Villa Park, at least until the end of the season.
Carew's agent, Per A. Flod, poured cold water on the possibility of his client leaving in January, and said that a decision on his future will be made during the summer.
"Something will happen during the summer of 2010, either an extension or a transfer," he told Dagbladet.
"John might also play out his contract, but I don't think Villa are interested in that.
"It's no news that Fenerbahce wants John, that has been known for three years now.
"Soon, the rumours about Panathinaikos will reappear too!"
