Arsenal's talented youngster Samir Carruthers is reported to have agreed a deal to sign for Martin O'Neill's charges after turning down at deal at The Emirates.
In a shock move, the 15-year-old who is the captain and star man in the
Gunners under-16 team, has told
Arsenal he doesn't want to commit to the North London club. Instead he will join
Aston Villa, after a deal was agreed and is set to commence from July 1st.
The
Gunners are thought to be dismayed at the 15-year-old's decision, and Villa are understandably delighted with the capture of the defender who has been touted as a future
England international.
“He was offered a contract by Arsenal and turned it down," Villa's academy director Bryan Jones
told The Sun.
“We were given permission by Arsenal to speak to him.
“We have agreed a contract in principle and hopefully he is going to sign for us on July 1.”
