VfB Stuttgart goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has refused to comment on his rather eye-opening wee-break during his sides UEFA Champions League match against Unirea Urziceni midweek.
The eccentric German shot-stopper crept behind the advertising boards before relieving himself during Stuttgart’s 3-1 win over Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni in Wednesday night’s decisive Group G UEFA Champions League clash.
Lehmann’s actions have been the talk of the German sports media for past few days, however, the former Arsenal ace has steadfastly refused to comment publicly on his very open-air wee.
When questioned over the incident by German daily newspaper Bild, the 40 year-old replied:
“That’s my secret. It’s nice that in football some things can’t be solved by cameras!”
Having been further probed as to whether or not his actions could be perceived as salacious, ‘Mad Jens’ replied candidly:
“There are other things. Use your imagination!”
Surprisingly, VfB General Manager moved quickly to defend his number 1, whose actions he deemed ‘skilful’
“Jens solved [his problem] very skilfully. It reminded me of the Tour de France, when riders have to stop to go for a pee!” he said.
