With Sunday's top-of-the-table clash at the Emirates Stadium looming, ExtraFootie digs out some footage from vintage games between Arsenal and Chelsea from recent memory.
Arsene Wenger's troops start the game eight points adrift of their opponents, albeit with a game in hand, but they know that with the mood Chelsea have been in this season a defeat could mean curtains for their title aspirations.
1. One of the last times Arsenal were still in contention for the title in the run-up to Christmas was during the 2006-07 sesaon when a goal from former Chelsea man William Gallas gave them a narrow 1-0 victory.
Although that told little of the story in a pulsating affair as both Robin Van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor had goals disallowed, while Chelsea created several clear cut chances of their own.
2. At Stamford Bridge this one, but a gem nonetheless. Tore Andre Flo and Dan Petrescu had given Chelsea a 2-0 lead, before spaghetti-legged Nigerian Kanu scored a hat-trick in an incredible last 15 minutes. Here's the clincher.
3. A Highbury classic - The 2004 UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg.
With the score at one apiece from the first leg, Jose Antonio Reyes gave Arsenal the advantage on the stroke of half-time.
Frank Lampard squared the tie after the break, before a clinical finish from Wayne Bridge of all people minutes from the end stunned Highbury into silence, securing Claudio Ranieri's side's passage to the semi-finals.
