Galatasaray winger Arda Turan would be interested in a move to Arsenal, although any deal would not take place until the summer, according to the player's agent.
The 22-year-old seems destined to a move to a top European club, after outstanding displays for Frank Rijkaard's Galatasaray side over the last three seasons and having inspired Turkey's run to the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
A summer target for both Liverpool and Arsenal, Gala managed to fend off unwanted interest in their prized asset, and the mesmeric winger has already returned two goals and fifteen assists for the Turkish giants this season.
Installed as club captain at the beginning of the season, Turan is held in the highest esteem at the Istanbul club, and now wears the revered No.10 shirt which once belonged to Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi.
Valued at around £15million, Turan is unlikely to go anywhere in January, but his agent Ahmet Bulut has admitted that a move is certainly on the cards, adding that Arsene Wenger and his client have a mutual admiration for one another.
"At this moment in time I have no contact with any clubs. I had a lot of interest in the summer for him, but the club did not want to sell him," he told sport.co.uk.
"He is now the new captain of Galatasaray, so I don't think he will be sold in January. However, I do think he will be sold in July.
"In the summertime Arsenal made contact regarding him, but the club did not want to sell.
"He is interested in working under Arsene Wenger because he is very good at working with young players, and Arda wants to work in England."
