Arsenal are reportedly set to table an offer for out-of-favour Inter Milan wonderkid Mario Balotelli as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his forward line at the Emirates Stadium.
Tipped for great things last season, the 19-year-old has been cast aside by Inter boss Jose Mourinho this term as question marks hang over his temprament.
But this is not thought to concern 'The Professor' who remains very keen on the possibility of bringing the enigmatic striker to the Premier League.
He'll have to part with a fair whack of cash to land the Italy Under-21 international, but following the big money departures of Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor, the pragmatic Frenchman has the funds available to him.
A price of around £12million has been mooted, and Wenger was gushing in his praise for the young hitman, believing that with the right guidance he could develop into one of the best players on the planet.
“I consider Inter an excellent squad who can do really well in the Champions League,” Wenger told the Italian media.
"In particular I am keeping an eye out for Balotelli, a player I
like very much. In my view he can become one of the greatest.”

Balotelli is a striker not a defender.
