Arsenal's Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor has quelled rumours of a move away from The Emirates by saying he has no desire to leave North London.
The 25-year-old goal ace was told last week to make up his mind over where his future lies by
Gunners supremo Arsene Wenger, and now it appears that he has decided to remain an
Arsenal player for the time being.
Speculation linking him with a move to the
Rossoneri has been intense, as we reported here on
ExtraFootie. But the hotshot, who netted 16 times during the last campaign now doesn't want to leave Arsene Wenger's charges, according to his agent.
The former
Monaco man, who has 25 international caps to his name has appeared unsettled in North London and a move seemed likely with AC Milan leading the race to capture his signature. But now his agent has dispelled rumours.
Asked by
Observer Sport about whether the 6ft 2in target man would be leaving The Emirates Stephane Courbis, the striker's agent, said:
"No, no." It seems that Adebayor definitely wants to stay at
Arsenal.
"Yes.
It's the same as last week," he said, intimating that the hitman would only leave if told to by boss Wenger.
