Queens Park Rangers are set to bring young Arsenal hitman Jay Simpson to Loftus Road on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal.
Simpson, 20, finds himself on the periphery of the Gunners first-team squad and is believed to be keen to leave the Emirates, albeit in a temporary arrangement, to kick-start his stuttering career.
The talented hitman enjoyed a similar loan spell at Wets Brom last season and has been linked with a return to the Hawthorns as well Premier League new-boys Burnley and Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
But is appears that Q.P.R. boss Jim Magilton is leading the chase for Simpson as he looks to add some much needed firepower to his side after they failed to win any of their opening four games this season.
Simpson recently penned a contract extension with the Gunners and Arsene Wenger is keen for him to gain more first-team experience before, hopefully, making a massive impact with the North London giants.
