Disagree I think he is top drawer! After seeing him play live, i thought he was outstanding! Along with rooney, ronaldo, seedorf and shearer are the best players i have ever seen in the flesh! Clearly you would need to play someone like fletcher to complement him but if you can get the best out of him i.e Holland at the last euro's you have a top class midfielder which your right in saying you coudl prob pick up for 15million.
I've heard off the field he likes to party and thats something fergie would need to sort out but beleive he would be fnatastic player for utd!
JamDav u big weener...
All you have said i agree with but note what you said on one of your other comments you made...Silva and Modric are not available and if they are £30million...
Sneijder in a good team - Real last season were awful - would be a very good player.
Again it would depend on formation - don't fancy him in a 4-4-2 for example but his set-pieces are awesome and he is asmall, technical player who would do a very good jon.
Pretty sure he will end up at Chelsea...remember i said this!!!

Wesley Sneijder is a good, tidy player for about £15 million, but is not top drawer. I would say he is probably not even in the top 20 midfielders in europe.
Last season he only got 2 goals and 2 assist in 29 games, other options like Modric or Silva are miles ahead of Sneijder.
Although different players I would easily have Fletcher in my team ahead of Sneijder, every day of the week.
In my opinion Fletcher is top level, especially considering his role in the team.
In the last couple of seaons in the big games Fletcher has consistently got the better of the likes of Fabregas and Lampard, stopping them from playing.
For example his performance against Arsenal in the CL semi final second leg was unbelievable, he completely stopped Fabregas from playing while barely ever giving the ball away.
Without Ronaldo's goals to rely on they probably do need more creativity in midfield but Wesley Sneijder is not the answer.
Totally...mark my words tho Mr Milne - Sneijder will be Ancelotti's 'marquee' signing for the summer i think - maybe Young but O'Neill is saying he aint going.
Sneijder is technically brilliant and would be good at United for tight games at Old Trafford I think - setting the tempo whta with Scholes' standards slipping.
Still want Aguero at United tho - just spend 40million on him - fook it - we have it and I think he would be awesome with Rooney!

blow for utd! Is it just me but anyone else suprised that utd have not gone for another creative centre mid! Fletcher, carrick and anderson good players but none of them are in the top level bracket! Obviously scholes was but the legs are gone. Is there something i don't know thats putting the top teams in england of Wesley Sneider, i think he is a brilliant player! If fergie got the best out of him, he would be brilliant for utd in my book! Any one agree?

It's not really an accurate to say that Real Madrid were shit last season therefore sneijder had no chance to look good.
Although they didn't have their best season they still finished second in the league ( im sure they won something like 11 in a row towards end of season), and got knocked out in CL by Liverpool.
Watching Madrid last season one of thet things they seemed to lack was creativity in midfield and that was with sneijder in the team. So it is just as easy to say that Sneijder was one of the many reasons they were fairly poor by their own standards.
I do agree that Man Utd lack a bit of creativity in midfield, but I think Fergie prefers solid CM's who will play a more disciplined game. This in turn allows for the wingers to concentrate on going forward and also allows the fullbacks license to push on. Look at Man Utd's midfields in the past, arguably only Scholesy was anything near a creative midfielder, and even then it was only because he was good enough to play like that on top of his midfield responsobilities.
Another reason I dont think that Fergie will feel he needs much more creativity in midfield is that Rooney will play through the middle, dropping deep and picking up the ball when neccesary.
I dont know if you watched the Man Utd v Valencia game but Rooney was awesome at doing this and absolutely run the game.
